Dan Nicoletta, stopped by recently to autograph sheets of Harvey Milk Forever stamps. He was in town for the public dedication for the stamp, with ceremonies in the City Hall rotunda. The stamp was designed based on an image of Harvey Milk from a photograph taken by Nicoletta in 1977.
We are pleased to be able to offer this keepsake sheet of stamps for $9.80 plus a donation to the Harvey Milk Foundation.
The Harvey Milk Foundation is a global non-profit charitable organization that promotes Harvey Milk’s legacy through human rights education and global outreach efforts. Harvey Milk (1930-1978) became the first openly gay major elected official in the United States when he was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 1977. He was assassinated in San Francisco’s City Hall in November 1978. The foundation was founded by Harvey’s nephew, Stuart Milk, and Anne Kronenberg, Harvey’s campaign manager and political aide.
